Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1156 PM MST Mon Feb 19 2018

.Discussion...

An upper level storm system will continue to spread snow across
the mountains and portions of the adjacent plains overnight.
Up to a foot of additional snow will be possible across the
eastern San Juan mountains with lesser amounts across the remainder
of the southern mountains. Snow will wind down on Tuesday though
there will still be scattered snow showers along the Continental
Divide through the day with additional local accumulations of an
inch or two. Temperatures will remain below normal across much of
the area. Wednesday will be drier but still cold. Another storm
system will impact the southwest Colorado mountains Wednesday night
into Thursday while winds and warmer temperatures spread across
southeast Colorado. The weather pattern will remain active with
the potential for another storm system Friday into Saturday.

Smoke dispersions will remain poor to fair across the southeast
plains on Tuesday...but will rise into the Very good to Excellent
category over the mountains and valleys by Tuesday afternoon.
Dispersions will be lower across the mountains on Wednesday but
will rise into the fair category across much of the plains.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
