Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
711 AM MDT Thu Apr 27 2017

.Discussion...
Unsettled weather will continue through the period with another
round of showers and thunderstorms expected today. Some moderate
snowfall accumulations will be possible across the higher central
mountains. The next weather system will spread widespread rain and
snow across all of the district for Friday night and Saturday.
Heavy snow will be possible for the mountain areas...particularly
south of highway 50...and rain will change over to snow by Saturday
morning across most of the lower elevations as well. This system will
pull away from the area Saturday night with dry weather returning
for Sunday. Another round of showers will move in for the middle of
next week. Temperatures will remain below normal.

Gusty winds today will lead to very good to excellent afternoon smoke
dispersion rates. Winds will decrease this evening with most areas
seeing poor night time dispersions. The exception will be across
the mountains where pockets of fair dispersions can be expected.
Dispersions will rise into the very good to excellent category along
and south of highway 50 on Friday while to the north dispersions will
rise into the fair to good range.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
