Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1108 PM MDT Sat Mar 25 2017

.Discussion...

An active weather pattern is expected through next week with
the next weather system impacting southern Colorado late tonight
through Sunday. Snow levels will remain around 8000-8500 feet with
the potential for a few inches of snow above that level. Scattered
showers will be possible across the lower elevations with the
potential for wetting rains to occur across the valleys...along the
I-25 corridor and portions of the southeast plains.

Another stronger storm system will bring another round of rain
and potentially heavy mountain snows to southern Colorado Tuesday
night and Wednesday...with yet a 3rd storm system impacting the
region next weekend. There will be the potential for significant
mountain snows with rain or snow across the plains.

Afternoon smoke dispersion rates will rise into the Fair to Good
categories for most areas on Sunday with pockets of Very Good
along the I-25 corridor due to gusty north winds. Dispersions will
drop into the poor category overnight with slightly higher
dispersions expected on Monday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
