Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
612 PM MDT Tue Apr 25 2017

.Discussion...

An active weather pattern is expected across the district through
the week and over the next weekend, as multiple disturbances
cross the region. One upper level system sweeping across the
Rockies tonight will bring rain and snow showers to the area
overnight. Another disturbance will cross the region Wednesday
night and Thursday, providing for more snow showers across the
higher terrain. A stronger system will then affect the state for
Friday and Saturday, bringing much cooler air to the state.

Ventilation rates will drop into the poor category across fire
zones 220 through 225 tonight between 2000 and 2100, while the
I-25 corridor and eastern plains are forecast to remain fair to
even good due to elevated winds across the east. Tomorrow,
inversions will break between 1000 and 1100 with ventilation rates
improving to very good to excellent for most locations by 1300.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
