Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
420 AM MDT Mon Jul 24 2017

.Discussion...

Scattered afternoon and evening monsoon thunderstorms will
continue for the next few days. The monsoon will be confined
primarily to areas in and near the mountains today but will
start to creep back out across the plains Monday and Tuesday.
By Wednesday, upslope flow behind a surface front could bring
more widespread thunderstorm activity through the remainder
of the week. Local flash flooding will be possible through
the week, particularly over burn scars.

Today, afternoon ventilation rates will generally be very
good or better over the eastern plains but only poor to good
elsewhere. On Monday, rates will generally be very good or
better everywhere.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
