Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
924 AM MST Fri Feb 16 2018

.Discussion...

Cooler air has moved into the district this morning.
Temperatures today will be 15 to 20 degrees cooler than
yesterdays high temperatures. A warming trend will occur
this weekend as high temperatures will reach into the 70s
across the lower elevations by Sunday. Near critical fire
weather conditions will be possible on Sunday as it will
be windy, warm with humidity values in the 10 to 15 percent
range.

A cold front will move across the district on Monday
as a deep trough of low pressure moves in from the Pacific.
This storm will have the potential to bring heavy snow to
the mountains, especially the southwest mountains early next
week. Some snow will also be possible on the plains Monday
night and into Tuesday. Temperatures will be sharply colder
across the district on Tuesday.

Smoke dispersion is expected to be good or better across the
entire district both this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
