Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
315 PM MST Wed Nov 15 2017

.Discussion...

Fire Danger will be elevated both Thursday and Friday as winds
increase ahead of the next storm system set to track across the
area Friday night. Areas of critical to near critical fire weather
conditions will be likely across portions of Fremont and Huerfano
county on Thursday, though fuels are not noted as critical in
these areas, and conditions will be brief, lasting around 3-4 hours.
Very strong and potentially damaging winds will be possible on Friday
in and the near mountains, however relative humidity values will
start to increase and should stay just above critical thresholds.

Snow will begin across the central and southwest mountains Thursday
night and continue through Friday night. Moderate to heavy snow
accumulations will be possible across the Continental Divide.

Drier weather will return for the weekend with a gradual warming
trend.

Afternoon smoke dispersion rates will rise into the very good to
excellent categories both Thursday and Friday due to strong winds.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
