Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
803 PM MDT Thu Mar 23 2017

.Discussion...

A strong cold front will drop south across the region tonight
with precipitation developing by Friday morning. Several inches
of snowfall are expected over the Palmer Divide and Raton Ridge
areas, as well as the eastern mountains. Snow levels will be
around 6000 feet, with rain expected over the lower plains
elevations. North winds will be gusting to near 65 mph across
the plains through Friday evening.

An active weather pattern will take shape through the next
several days with Saturday and Monday being dry. Otherwise
disturbances will bring periods of higher elevation snow
and lower elevation rain into next week.

Smoke dispersion will be good to very good tonight given the
strong winds. Very good to excellent conditions are expected
on Friday.
