Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
902 PM MDT Fri Jul 21 2017

.Discussion...

Thunderstorms will be more widespread over the area through Saturday
as the monsoon plume shifts overhead and a cool front brings moist
upslope flow to the southeast plains. The best chance for
thunderstorms will be across the mountains and Pikes Peak region
through this evening, then across all of the district on Saturday
with focus for the heavier rain across the southeast mountains and
plains. Sunday will start to see some drying working in from the
north, but another round of scattered thunderstorms can be expected
across the mountains and southern sections of the district.
Temperatures will drop to near normal for Saturday and below normal
for Sunday.

The weather dries out some for early next week, though isolated to
scattered thunderstorms will still be possible each day across the
mountains. Thunderstorm chances may ramp up again for the middle to
latter part of next week as another resurgence of monsoon moisture
moves in.

Smoke dispersion will drop into the poor category overnight for all
areas. Saturday will see afternoon smoke dispersion rise into the
fair to good category over the plains, with poor to fair dispersions
across the mountains due to early thunderstorm development.
