Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
315 PM MST Fri Nov 24 2017

...A Red Flag Warning remains in effect until 5 PM this afternoon
for gusty winds, low relative humidity values, and dry fuels for
fire weather zones 222, 226, 227, 228 and 229 which includes
Fremont, El Paso, Pueblo and eastern Huerfano counties...

.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions across the lower eastern slopes
of the southeast mountains and adjacent plains will come to an
end this evening as a cold front will moves through the area,
ushering in cooler temperatures and higher humidity values for
the plains. Saturday will then be dry and cooler over the region,
with lighter winds.

Another warming trend will set in for late weekend through early next
week with critical fire weather conditions returning to portions of
the southeast plains Monday afternoon. The next system will bring
cooler temperatures and a better chance for rain and snow showers to
the region Monday night and Tuesday.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will be good or better over the
mountains and most high terrain on Saturday, with fair to
poor dispersion across interior valleys and the eastern plains. On
Sunday, good or better dispersion will continue over the mountains,
with fair to good levels on the plains.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
