Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
729 PM MDT Fri Oct 20 2017

.Discussion...

An upper level disturbance and cold front will move through the
district tonight and Saturday. This disturbance will bring a period
of snow to the Continental Divide tonight, particularly from the
Monarch Pass area northward. A few showers could also occur over
the eastern mountains. Otherwise, the system will bring breezy and
cooler weather to the district on Saturday with temperatures falling
back 5-10 degrees below average.

Sunday and Monday, dry and warmer weather will return with temps
climbing back above average. Tuesday, another dry cold front could
move through the district returning temperatures to near average.
Wednesday looks warmer again. If current model runs are correct, a
strong cold front could bring much colder air and a chance of snow
to the district Thursday and Friday.

Afternoon ventilation rates will generally be good to excellent
across the district on Saturday. On Sunday, rates will decrease.
They will still be good to very good over most of the mountain areas
but the plains will drop back to mostly poor to fair.
