Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
255 PM MST Tue Dec 12 2017

.Discussion...

Gusty northerly winds over the far southeast plains on Wednesday, will
cause elevated fire weather concerns. However, the humidity is expected
to be a little too high for a fire weather highlight. Wednesday night
and Thursday a weather disturbance will move over the area and will bring
precipitation to the mountains, with some isolated to scattered showers
over some of the lower elevations. Dry weather will return for Friday
and into Saturday morning. A new weather system will affect the area
from Saturday afternoon through Sunday, bringing some precipitation to
the mountains and the I-25 corridor. Above average highs can be expected
on Wednesday, with cooler temperatures on Thursday. Temperatures warm to
above average again for Friday and Saturday, and then cool again for
Sunday.

Good smoke dispersion is expected Wed afternoon over the far southeast
plains and over the central mountains, Teller and Fremont counties.
The San Luis Valley, the Sangre de Cristo mountains and the I-25 corridor
counties should see poor to fair dispersion on Wednesday. Thursday
afternoon the entire forecast area is expected to have excellent smoke
dispersion.
