Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
309 PM MST Fri Feb 17 2017

.Discussion...

Showers will return to the forecast along the Continental Divide
tonight and Saturday as a series of disturbances move across the
area. Temperatures will remain above normal which will restrict
snowfall to the higher elevations of the mountains until a
storm system approaches on Sunday. Several inches of snow
will be possible on Sunday along the Continental Divide...with
light accumulations across the higher peaks of the southeast
mountains. Isolated showers will be possible across lower
elevations on Sunday as well, though precipitation amounts
should remain light. Dry and mild weather weather will then
return for the early part of next week before another
storm system brings a chance of showers and the potential for
strong winds to the area Wednesday night through Friday.

On Saturday, smoke dispersion will range from fair to good
across most locations, with a few pockets of very good in
the lee of the eastern mountains. On Sunday, dispersion
will reach very good to excellent levels over the eastern
mountains and plains, while remaining poor over interior
valleys and along the Continental Divide.
