Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
346 AM MDT Tue May 14 2024

.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions are not expected through the
rest of this week. Daytime highs will be warm today, with highs
climbing back into the mid and upper 80s across the plains.
Relative humidities will also be drier today, with values dropping
back into the mid and upper-teens across the plains. Chances for
afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are also expected.
Some storms could be strong to severe today, with damaging winds
the primary threat.

Precipitation chances increase again Wednesday into Thursday as
another weather system moves across the region. Temperatures will
cool off to near or below normal both days. Warmer and drier
conditions return for late week into next weekend with
temperatures rebounding to above normal.

Smoke dispersion is expected to be good to excellent across the
area today, and fair to very good on Wednesday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
