Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1038 AM MST Sun Dec 17 2017

.Discussion...

Much cooler weather is expected today, particularly across the plains
with clouds gradually clearing out by this evening. Dry weather and
above normal temperatures will return for Monday through Wednesday with
winds on the increase into Wednesday across the mountains.

A stronger storm system is expected to impact the mountains with snow
Wednesday night, before spreading into the southeast mountains and
plains on Thursday. Some light to moderate snow accumulations will
be possible for the mountain areas with light snow possible across
portions of the I-25 corridor and southeast plains through Thursday
night. Temperatures will remain below normal for Thursday and Friday
with significantly colder conditions expected next weekend as a strong
cold front moves through. Some additional light snow will be possible
on Saturday across the plains.

Smoke dispersion rates will rise into the fair to good category
over the mountains today, while remaining poor across the plains.
Dispersions will improve for portions of the southeast plains on
Monday while remaining generally fair across the mountains.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
