......NEAR-CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR LOW HUMIDITY
CONTINUES THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL TO
WEST-CENTRAL TO SOUTHERN MINNESOTA...
.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather conditions are ongoing this afternoon as
relative humidity drops to near 20 percent in spots due to efficient
mixing and clear skies. Winds remain fairly light at at 5-10mph
with gusts near 20mph at times.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, near critical fire weather conditions
will continue. A cold front will pass through dry, with southwest
winds of 15 to 25 mph ahead of the front, and then northwest at
10 to 15 mph after the front moves through. There is a small chance
for rain, but most locations will stay dry.
Looking ahead, more widespread rain chances return for the middle and
end of next week.
