Area Weather Outlook
National Weather Service Eastern ND/Grand Forks
1058 AM CST Wed Dec 7 2016

The winter storm that caused blizzard conditions over most of the
Red River of the North region in Eastern North Dakota and
Northwestern Minnesota is moving off to the east but still affects
us with strong northwesterly winds working on freshly fallen and
falling snow...still reducing visibilities to near zero at times and
places. This situation should prevail for most of the afternoon
before slowly tapering off overnight. Cold air is accompanying the
backside of the storm...so winter weather has arrived here!

High pressure moving in following this storm will bring in clearing
skies and calmer wind as well as the afore mentioned colder
temperatures for the end of the work week
