TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING...

.THE COMBINATION OF AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE MOVING
EASTWARD ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST UNITED STATES TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY
AND ABUNDANT MOISTURE ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTH TEXAS...WILL
PROVIDE THE POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP
ACROSS NORTHEAST MEXICO INTO SOUTHWEST TEXAS LATE TONIGHT INTO
EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY BE STRONG TO
SEVERE AND WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL AS THEY MOVE ACROSS THE
NORTHERN RANCHLANDS AND THE MIDDLE TO UPPER PORTIONS OF THE RIO
GRANDE VALLEY TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY. WITH THE GROUND REMAINING
NEARLY SATURATED ACROSS MOST OF DEEP SOUTH TEXAS FROM THE
RAINFALL OF THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS...THE POTENTIAL FOR FLASH
FLOODING EXISTS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL.

THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF DEEP SOUTH TEXAS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  AREAS...BROOKS...COASTAL CAMERON...COASTAL WILLACY...HIDALGO...
   INLAND CAMERON...INLAND WILLACY...JIM HOGG...KENEDY...STARR
  AND ZAPATA.

* FROM MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT
  INTO SUNDAY MORNING AND MOVE ACROSS AREAS THAT HAVE RECEIVED
  EXCESSIVE RAINFALL OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS. RAINFALL
  AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS
  UP TO 4 INCHES. THIS WILL RESULT IN RAPID RUNOFF AND
  INUNDATION OF ALREADY FLOODED REGIONS.

* DUE TO THE VERY MOIST CONDITIONS OF THE GROUNDS AND SOILS IN
  THE AREA...RAPID FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE WHERE HEAVY
  RAINS DEVELOP.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT
24 TO 36 HOURS. RESIDENTS LIVING IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD TAKE
ACTION TO PROTECT PROPERTY.

RESIDENTS...PARTICULARLY THOSE IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS...AS WELL AS
THOSE LIVING NEAR SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS...SHOULD BE PREPARED
TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

IF POSSIBLE...CLEAR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS OF ANY DEBRIS WHICH MAY
BECOME CLOGGED IN FLOODING RAINS.
