...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CLINTON...
NORTHEASTERN ESSEX...SOUTHWESTERN GRAND ISLE AND NORTHWESTERN
CHITTENDEN COUNTIES THROUGH 245 PM EDT...

At 153 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Au Sable Forks, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible. Small watercraft may capsize.

Locations impacted include...
Essex Junction, South Burlington, Burlington International Airport,
Burlington, Peru, Winooski, Westford, Colchester, Essex Junction
Village, Williston, Port Kent, Essex, Keeseville, St. George,
Shelburne, Richmond, Jericho, South Hero, Milton, and Mallets Bay
State Park.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 87 between mile markers 134 and 144.
 Interstate 89 between mile markers 79 and 98.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near the broad portion of Lake Champlain, get out of the
water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can
strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to
safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
