...Gusty northeast winds up to 30 knots will continue through 8
PM...

An outflow boundary from a squall line that moved through the
western Gulf earlier today had moved to a line stretching from 40
nautical miles east of Port Mansfield, southeast to 60 nautical
miles east of the Cameron and Willacy County line on South Padre
Island as of 545 PM. The boundary was moving west-southwest at
around 30 knots...and will reach the offshore waters 20 nautical
miles from the barrier island between 615 and 7 PM.

Northeast winds 20 gusting 30 knots will occur for 1 to 3 hours
following the line, waters will become choppy to rough, and wave
heights may reach 6 to 7 feet. Conditions should improve within 3
hours of the line`s passage.

Boaters and shippers in these areas should remain alert to
shifting winds and roughening seas early this evening. Conditions
may reach the nearshore waters out to 20 nm after 7 PM...and
additional statements may be required.
