...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL GREENVILLE...CENTRAL
PICKENS AND EAST CENTRAL OCONEE COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM EDT...

At 411 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Pickens to 5 miles
northeast of Walhalla. Movement was east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Easley, Walhalla, Pickens, Downtown Greenville, Taylors, Berea,
Liberty, Six Mile, Lake Keowee, and Cherrydale Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
