  Northwestern Rowan County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 1045 PM EDT.

* At 947 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles north of
  Statesville, moving east at 10 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Statesville, Cleveland, Harmony, Turnersburg, Olin, Sheffield, Cool
  Springs, and Scotts.
