...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Murrells Inlet SC out 20 nm...

At 1115 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near buoy A R
445 to Surfside Beach, moving east at 25 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Little River Offshore Reef, Myrtle Beach Rock, Jungle, Sherman Wreck,
Springmaid Pier, A R 445, Cape Fear Sea Buoy, Cape Fear Knuckle Buoy,
Paradise Reef, and Mount Dirfy`s Wreck.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
