...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM EDT
FOR CENTRAL ROBESON COUNTY...

At 539 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Lumberton,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
         damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Lumberton, Pembroke, Rowland, Smiths, Howellsville, Hestertown,
Robeson Community College, Barker Ten Mile, Purvis, Elrod,
Tolarsville, Mcdonald, Raynham, and Southeastern Regional Medical
Center.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Please send your reports of hail and/or wind damage, including trees
or large limbs downed, by calling the National Weather Service office
in Wilmington at 1-800-697-3901.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
