...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and
  southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, in east
  central Kentucky, Bath, Elliott, Estill, Fleming, Menifee,
  Montgomery, Powell and Rowan. In northeast Kentucky, Johnson and
  Martin. In south central Kentucky, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski,
  Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell,
  Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie,
  Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike and Wolfe.

* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water
  crossings would be the first to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain
    are expected through Wednesday night. This may lead to
    instances of flooding across the area as well as significant
    rises on area rivers.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
