Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.1 inch high over Lake Michigan will build across
the Lower Great Lakes tonight before drifting off the New England
coast Monday. A weak ridge averaging 30.0 inches will then remain
in place across the eastern Great Lakes through Wednesday. A 29.6
inch low is then forecast to move into the western Great Lakes
Wednesday night and Thursday, with a warm front moving towards
Lake Ontario.

.MONDAY...Southwest winds 10 knots or less becoming east. Waves

.MONDAY NIGHT...East winds 10 knots or less becoming west. Waves
1 foot or less.
.TUESDAY...Southwest winds 10 knots or less becoming west. Waves
1 foot or less.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...West winds 5 to 15 knots becoming northeast.
Waves 2 feet or less.
.WEDNESDAY...Northeast winds 5 to 15 knots becoming east. A
chance of showers Wednesday night. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.THURSDAY...East winds 5 to 10 knots. Showers likely with a
chance of thunderstorms during the day...then a chance of showers
Thursday night. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
.FRIDAY...Northeast winds 10 knots or less becoming north. A
chance of showers. Waves 2 feet or less.
