.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather conditions are possible this afternoon across
the far southwest Texas Panhandle and northwest South Plains, mainly
due to very dry air with minimum relative humidity values between 8
to 12 percent across the aforementioned area. In addition,
temperatures will be warm in the 80s with west winds of 10 to 20
mph. A Rangeland Fire Danger statement is in effect from 1 PM until
8 PM CDT.
