Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
224 PM CDT Wed Apr 17 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Hot and dry conditions seen this afternoon persist through
Thursday afternoon as well. Fortunately, winds trend lighter,
mitigating fire weather concerns for most of the region tomorrow
despite the dry air and ERCs over the 90th percentile. A cold
front Thursday night brings much cooler temperatures and increased
moisture, with widespread wetting rains possible through the
weekend. Beyond today, fire concerns stay nil through at least the
middle part of next week.
