...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT JONES...CENTRAL CRAVEN...NORTHERN
ONSLOW...SOUTHERN DUPLIN AND SOUTHWESTERN PAMLICO COUNTIES THROUGH
900 PM EDT...

At 824 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Neuse Forest to Wards Corner. Movement was
southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Jacksonville, New Bern, Havelock, Wallace, Pumpkin Center, Half Moon,
James City, Trent Woods, River Bend, Phillips Crossroads, Rose Hill,
Richlands, Beulaville, Maysville, Catherine Lake, Kellum, Cypress
Creek, Comfort, Chinquapin, and Tuscarora.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
eastern North Carolina.
