372 WGUS84 KMRX 031815 FLSMRX Flood Advisory National Weather Service Morristown TN 215 PM EDT Fri May 3 2024 TNC139-032115- /O.NEW.KMRX.FA.Y.0014.240503T1815Z-240503T2115Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Polk TN- 215 PM EDT Fri May 3 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following county, Polk. * WHEN...Until 515 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 215 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ducktown and William L. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
