...HEAVY SHOWERS WITH EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

  Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 40 NM...
  Long Island South Shore Bays...

At 613 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms
scattered over the waters, some capable of producing wind gusts to
around 40 knots. Lightning strikes are also possible with any
embedded thunderstorms.

 PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 40 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
