The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Kimble County in west central Texas...
  Western Mason County in west central Texas...
  Southeastern Menard County in west central Texas...

* Until 145 AM CDT.

* At 1046 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area...from London to just west of
  Mason...moving northeast at 25 mph. Up to 3.5 inches of rain have
  fallen near London. The expected rainfall rate is 1 inch in 30
  minutes. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible
  in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mason, Streeter, Long Mountain, Saline, Grit, London, Yates
  Crossing, Erna, Us-377 Near The Kimble-Menard County Line, The
  Intersection Of Highway 29 And Ranch Road 1222 and Koockville.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
crossings along FM 1221, Old Katemcy Mason crossing Comanche Creek,
Old Pontotoc crossing Little Willow Creek, Old Junction crossing
Honey Creek, Turkey SpringS crossing, Red crossing Little Bluff
Creek, Hungry Hollow crossing, Long Mountain crossing, Chimney
Hollow crossing Big Bluff Creek and Mill Creek crossing Mill Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
