...FLOOD ADVISORY HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

The Flood Advisory has been replaced with a Flash Flood Warning for
Naranjito.

At 840 PM AST, Radar estimates indicate heavy rain continues across
the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. Emergency
management has reported several areas already flooded due to
excessive runoff and rivers out of its banks.

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM AST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of Puerto Rico, including the following
  counties, Barranquitas and Comerio.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM AST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 841 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Comerio, Barranquitas and Palomas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
