...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM AST EARLY THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Flood waters from recent heavy rains continue to affect
  Urban area and small stream due to excessive runoff along the
  Cibuco river and its tributaries.

* WHERE...A portion of Puerto Rico, including the following county,
  Vega Alta.

* WHEN...Until 530 AM AST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many
  areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours
  for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage
  systems in urban and rural areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 215 AM AST, Emergency management reported standing flood
    waters continue on roadways making some impassable across the
    warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Vega Alta and areas in and around Sector Candelaria Fatima.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
