...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by flood waters from Rio Culebrina.

* WHERE...A portion of Puerto Rico, including the following
  counties, Aguada, Aguadilla, Moca and San Sebastian.

* WHEN...Until 600 AM AST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
  continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
  Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
  passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
  Local media have reported water rescues.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 849 PM AST, emergency management reported river flooding
    in the warned area. PR-2 remains closed. Flooding is already
    occurring.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Rio Ingenio, Rio Culebra, Rio Guajataca, Canal Principal De
    Diversion, Coastal Watershed, Rio Grande de Anasco Watershed,
    Rio Sonador, Rio Guatemala, Rio Canas, Rio Culebrinas and Rio
    Grande de Anasco.
    Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
