...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN SHAWNEE...DOUGLAS
AND NORTHEASTERN OSAGE COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 PM CDT...

At 1059 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 3 miles south of Berryton to 4 miles west of
Lecompton. Movement was east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Southern Topeka, Lawrence, Carbondale, Eudora, Richland, Lecompton,
Clinton, Lone Star, Pleasant Grove, Clinton Lake, Vinland, and
Berryton.

This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 186 and 205.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
northeastern and east central Kansas.
