...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN HAAKON AND EASTERN
PENNINGTON COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM MDT...

At 619 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles northeast of Grindstone, or 16 miles northwest of Philip,
moving northwest at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Haakon
and eastern Pennington Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for
west central South Dakota.
