.NOW...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL LIE OVER THE CENTRAL STATES TODAY, WITH MOIST UPSLOPE FLOW
STREAMING INTO EASTERN COLORADO THIS MORNING. THIS WILL KEEP AREAS OF LOW
CLOUDS AND FOG IN THE PICTURE UNTIL MID MORNING, FOLLOWED BY MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES
OVER THE LOWER ELEVATIONS THE REST OF THE DAY. WE COULD SEE SOME LIMITED
TROPICAL MOISTURE FROM HURRICANE ODILE MAKE ITS WAY INTO THE SOUTHWEST
MOUNTAINS, PRODUCING A CHANCE OF AFTERNOON RAIN SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS.
AFTER COOLER TEMPERATURES ON THE PLAINS MONDAY, HIGHS TODAY SHOULD BE BACK TO
NORMAL AND ABOVE, WITH LITTLE CHANGE EXPECTED OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND SAN LUIS
VALLEY.

A SIMILAR WEATHER PATTERN WILL BE IN PLACE WEDNESDAY, WITH FAIR AND WARM
WEATHER OVER THE LOWER ELEVATIONS AND A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS IN THE HIGH COUNTRY. THE REMAINS OF HURRICANE ODILE ARE EXPECTED
TO PUSH ACROSS THE DESERT SOUTHWEST TO THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN ROCKIES
THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY, INCREASING THE POSSIBILITIES OF PRECIPITATION ACROSS
THE LISTENING AREA, AND ELEVATING THE THREAT FOR FLASH FLOODING ON THE BURN
SCARS. TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO STAY ABOVE AVERAGE PAST MID WEEK.

THE FORECAST FOR PIKES PEAK, TELLER COUNTY AND THE RAMPART RANGE. SKIES WILL BE
MOSTLY SUNNY TODAY WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 60S AND 70S, AND NORTHERLY
WINDS AROUND 10 MPH.
