...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM PST THURSDAY...

* Timing...Peak surf today through tonight, slowly diminishing
  Wednesday into Thursday.

* Peak Surf...5 to 9 feet with sets 10 to 13 feet. Highest sets
  in southern San Diego County.

* Tides...Today: 5.80 ft at 8:10 AM. Wednesday: 5.75 ft at 8:40
  AM. Thursday: 5.60 ft at 9:10 AM.

* Impacts...Large breaking waves, very strong rip currents,
  waves overtopping jetties and coastal rock formations and
  sneaker waves. Minor coastal flooding and beach erosion during
  high tides.

* Outlook...The surf will fade Thursday, but additional high surf
  will arrive Friday and Saturday from new swell generated by a
  Pacific storm.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Surf Advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area...producing rip currents, beach erosion and
dangerous swimming conditions.
