REMARKS...

JANUARY 2017 WAS ABOVE NORMAL IN TERMS OF TEMPERATURE. THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE OF 14.8 WAS 5.5 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL...WHICH IS THE 14TH
WARMEST JANUARY AT THIS SITE. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE REMAINED ABOVE
FREEZING THROUGH 4 STRAIGHT DAYS: JANUARY 20TH, 21ST, 22ND, AND 23RD
...AND RECORD HIGH MINIMUM TEMPERATURES WERE SET OR TIED FOR EACH OF
THESE 4 DAYS. IT IS THE FIRST TIME THAT THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
REMAINED ABOVE FREEZING FOR MORE THAN TWO DAYS IN JANUARY AT THIS
SITE.

PRECIPITATION AND SNOWFALL WERE SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL. THE TOTAL
PRECIPITATION OF 0.98 INCHES WAS 0.28 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL...AND THE
TOTAL SNOWFALL OF 13.1 INCHES WAS 1.9 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. THE
MAJORITY OF THE SNOW FELL ON JANUARY 2ND WITH 9.2 INCHES MEASURED.
DAILY PRECIPITATION AND SNOWFALL RECORDS WERE BROKEN ON JANUARY 2ND.
