...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 PM CDT FOR SOUTH
CENTRAL HAYS COUNTY...

AT 111 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED UP TO SEVEN INCHES OF RAIN
HAS FALLEN OVER THE WARNED AREA IN THE PAST 24 HOURS...WITH UP TO
FIVE INCHES OVER THE PAST THREE HOURS. ALTHOUGH RAIN RATES HAVE
DECREASED SUBSTANTIALLY AS THESE SHOWERS WEAKEN...RUNOFF FROM
EARLIER RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OVER THE
WARNED AREA. LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED THAT AQUARENA
SPRINGS DRIVE AT SESSOM DRIVE ON THE TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS
IS CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
SAN MARCOS...SAN MARCOS REGIONAL AIRPORT AND REDWOOD.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL IS CAUSING FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...AND STREETS AS WELL AS OTHER
DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
