THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON WEST VIRGINIA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WEST CENTRAL POCAHONTAS COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN WEST VIRGINIA...

* UNTIL 700 PM EDT

* AT 400 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STATIONARY THUNDERSTORM
  ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS IN WESTERN POCAHONTAS COUNTY.  UP TO ONE INCH
  OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN. FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN
  SHORTLY.  CAMPERS ALONG TEA CREEK SHOULD HEAD TO HIGHER GROUND
  NOW.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  SLATY FORK AND TEA CREEK CAMPGROUND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED
ROADS. FIND AN ALTERNATE ROUTE.

FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE
YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME
KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS AND HIKERS SHOULD AVOID STREAMS OR
CREEKS.
