THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED AN

* ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  CENTRAL SOCORRO COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO

* UNTIL 515 AM MDT

* AT 215 AM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  PERSISTENT AREA OF HEAVY RAINFALL STREAMING SLOWLY NORTHEAST OVER
  MUCH OF EASTERN SOCORRO COUNTY. RADAR ESTIMATED BETWEEN 1 AND 2
  INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN SINCE 11 PM...WITH ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS
  OF 1 TO 1.5 INCHES LIKELY. THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS IMPACTED MANY
  OF THE COUNTY ROADS NORTH OF HIGHWAY 380 RUNNING NORTH INTO THE
  HIGHER TERRAIN. HEAVY RAIN HAS ALSO IMPACTED HIGHWAY 380 FROM
  SAN ANTONIO TO BINGHAM. MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE
  OVER THIS AREA THROUGH 5 AM.

* STRONG FLOWS AND HIGH WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED IN ARROYOS...SMALL
  STREAMS AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. RAPID RUNOFF CAN ALSO BE
  EXPECTED IMMEDIATELY OVER AND DOWNSTREAM FROM WILDFIRE BURN SCARS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO TELL HOW MUCH
WATER IS ON THE ROAD...DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FAST MOVING WATER OF
UNKNOWN DEPTH.
