148 PM AKDT WED SEP 2 2015

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ANCHORAGE HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  LOW-LYING AREAS AROUND KENAI LAKE INCLUDING THE PRIMROSE
  CAMPGROUND.

* UNTIL 145 PM AKDT FRIDAY

* AT 148 PM AKDT WEDNESDAY...WATER LEVELS ON THE SNOW RIVER AND
  KENAI LAKE CONTINUE TO RISE. MINOR FLOODING HAS LIKELY BEGUN ALONG
  PRIMROSE ROAD AND PORTIONS OF THE PRIMROSE CAMPGROUND ON THE SOUTH
  SIDE OF KENAI LAKE AS WELL AS OTHER LOW-LYING AREAS SURROUNDING
  THE LAKE. WATER LEVELS WILL CONTINUE TO SLOWLY CLIMB FOR THE NEXT
  DAY OR TWO BEFORE BEGINNING TO FALL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
