   WATEREE RIVER AT LAKE WATEREE AFFECTING FAIRFIELD...KERSHAW AND
   LANCASTER COUNTIES

.IN THE WAKE OF FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT/S SIGNIFICANT RAIN
EVENT...ELEVATED INFLOWS FROM WATER RELEASES UPSTREAM WILL CONTINUE
TO PRODUCE HIGH STAGES ALONG THE WATEREE...CONGAREE...PEE DEE AND
UPPER SANTEE RIVER BASINS.

* AT  7 PM SUNDAY THE STAGE WAS 117.3 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 115.0 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING OVERNIGHT...AND CREST
  NEAR 118.8 FEET AROUND 8 AM MONDAY MORNING.  A FALLING TREND WILL
  THEN BEGIN BY EVENING...AND THE RIVER WILL DROP BELOW FLOOD STAGE
  LATE TUESDAY EVENING OR EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.
* AT 119.0 FEET...EXTENSIVE FLOODING OCCURS IN THE CONGAREE
  NATIONAL PARK.  SOME AREA FARMLAND IS FLOODED.  MINOR FLOODING

  NEAR 33.4 FEET AROUND 2 PM MONDAY AFTERNOON.  A FALLING TREND WILL

  100.8 FEET AFTER MIDNIGHT EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.  THE RIVER WILL
  BEGIN A SLOW FALLING TREND BY DAYBREAK...AND DROP BELOW FLOOD
  STAGE EARLY WEDNESDAY EVENING.
* AT 100.4 FEET...THE WATER BEGINS TO OVERFLOW A FEW MARINAS AND
  PIERS ALONG THE NORTHWEST SHORES.
