THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TUCSON HAS ISSUED A

* SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  EAST CENTRAL PIMA COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST ARIZONA...

* UNTIL 1030 PM MST

* AT 827 PM MST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO
INDICATE ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN IN THE PAST TWO HOURS ALONG
SAHUARITA ROAD BETWEEN SAHUARITA AND CORONA DE TUCSON. A FEW
LOCALIZED SPOTS HAVE SEEN IN EXCESS OF TWO INCHES BASED ON RADAR
DATA. THE PIMA COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE REPORTED FLOODING ON SAHUARITA
ROAD FROM THESE STORMS AT ABOUT 720 PM. THE HEAVY RAIN IS GRADUALLY
SUBSIDING ACROSS THE AREA WITH RESIDUAL SMALL STREAM FLOODING
EXPECTED TO PERSIST IN AREA WASHES ESPECIALLY ALONG SAHUARITA ROAD
THIS EVENING. THUS...A SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT
AND WILL REPLACE THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT FOR
THIS AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS IN
WASHES AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
