FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
259 PM EST SAT DEC 27 2014

.DISCUSSION...WITH HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OFF THE COAST OF THE
CAROLINAS TONIGHT...INCREASINGLY MOIST SOUTHERLY AIR WILL SPREAD
CLOUDINESS OVER THE AREA. THE CHANCE FOR SHOWERS WILL GRADUALLY
INCREASE FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST SUNDAY AS A COLD FRONT
APPROACHES FROM GEORGIA AND THE TENNESSEE VALLEY.

EVEN THOUGH DISPERSION WILL BE POOR OVERNIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING...THE CLOUDINESS WILL MINIMIZE ANY FOG DEVELOPMENT.

SURFACE AND TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE GENERALLY FROM THE SOUTHWEST.
SUNDAY...WITH LIGHT SPEEDS NEAR THE SURFACE...AND 10 TO 15 MPH
IN THE MIXING LAYER BY AFTERNOON.

SHOWERS WILL BECOME MORE LIKELY SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY AS THE COLD
FRONT CROSSES THE REGION.
