FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
307 PM EDT WED JUL 1 2015

.DISCUSSION...LOW PRESSURE AT THE SURFACE AND ALOFT WILL BE
OVER THE AREA THROUGH FRIDAY. ANY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
THROUGH THIS EVENING WILL BE GENERALLY ISOLATED DUE TO LIMITED
INSTABILITY. UPPER ENERGY WILL HELP SUPPORT INCREASED SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY THURSDAY AND FRIDAY DURING TIMES OF
MAXIMUM HEATING.

ENOUGH OF A PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL SUPPORT FAIR DISPERSION
TONIGHT THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. WEAK LOW-LEVEL MIXING
AND CLOUDINESS WILL INHIBIT ANY SIGNIFICANT FOG DEVELOPMENT.

THE PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL TIGHTEN MORE ON THURSDAY...AS A
COLD FRONTAL BOUNDARY SETTLES SOUTH INTO THE MID-ATLANTIC
REGION. WINDS WILL BE FROM THE WEST-SOUTHWEST...AT 10 TO
15 MPH NEAR THE SURFACE AND 15 TO 20 MPH IN THE MIXING LAYER.
MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL BE NEAR 45 PERCENT.
