Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure shifting to our east ahead of an approaching front
will allow winds to veer to SE to S tonight and Monday, increasing
moisture and rain chances for our region. A band of showers and
thunderstorms, some possibly severe, expected to shift from west to
east across our region Monday afternoon through early Monday night.
Total rainfall amounts averaging around one inch, or a little more,
are expected. The front will come through Monday night, shifting
winds to WSW to W through Tuesday. Drier air will enter the region
behind the system late Monday night and Tuesday.
