Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
244 PM CST Sat Jan 20 2018

.DISCUSSION...

Much warmer and generally dry conditions should prevail tonight.
The only exception is some light rain over far northwest Alabama
late tonight. Then, dry conditions are expected to prevail on
Sunday with daytime highs in the mid to upper 60s and minimum RH
values in the 40-45% range. There could be some very patchy valley
fog tonight mainly over northeast Alabama.

Southerly winds will increase on Sunday night into Monday ahead
of a cold front. This cold front should begin to enter northwest
Alabama early on Monday morning and continue throughout the rest
of the day. Isolated storms may also be embedded with the
widespread showers along with gusty transport winds up to 25 MPH.
Total forecast precipitation amounts are in the 0.50-1.00 inch
range.

Then, a high pressure system quickly follows behind the front
as clouds clear on Monday night into early Tuesday morning.
Expect daytime highs in the mid to upper 40s on Tuesday and
gradually warming into upper 50s by the end of the week as dry
conditions prevail after Monday until Friday night.

Fog potential over the next few days: There could be some patchy
fog mainly in the valleys tonight.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
