FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
325 AM CDT THU JUL 31 2014

.DISCUSSION...
AS HIGH PRESSURE SHIFTS EAST OF THE REGION TODAY, A FEW SHOWERS
ARE POSSIBLE, MAINLY THIS AFTERNOON. A STORM SYSTEM OVER THE CENTRAL
PLAINS WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH EASTWARD TOWARD THE AREA, BUT THE
BRUNT OF THE SHOWERS/STORMS WILL ARRIVE TOMORROW, LINGERING THROUGH
THE WEEKEND.

AS SUCH, THE UNSEASONABLY COOL AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL COME TO AN END,
AS MOISTURE INCREASES ACROSS THE AREA AND TEMPERATURES WARM TO NEAR
SEASONABLE VALUES FOR MUCH OF NEXT WEEK.

WITH THE ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND STORMS IN THE AREA THROUGH THE PERIOD,
SMOKE DISPERSION WILL BE GENERALLY POOR WITH LIGHT AND VARIABLE WINDS
IN PLACE. PATCHY FOG WILL BE POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY
AS WELL, BUT WILL HEAVILY DEPEND ON THE COVERAGE OF CONVECTION.
