Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

Surface high pressure over the southern states will move east,
placing the region in a southerly flow on Tuesday. After a
frosty night, high temperatures on Tuesday should warm to
around 60 degrees. A dry cold front is forecast to move across
Northern Alabama during Tuesday night. It will result in cooler
temperatures returning for the mid week, with highs on Wednesday
only around 50 degrees.

Fair west, to Generally Good east smoke dispersion rates are
forecast on Tuesday, with mixing heights ranging from 2500 to
3500 feet above ground level, and transport winds from the
southwest around 10 mph. Lower mixing heights should yield Fair
dispersion rates region-wide during Wednesday.

Fog potential over the next few days: None at this time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
