FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR KANSAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WICHITA KS
536 AM CDT MON MAR 30 2015

.DISCUSSION...

A SURFACE TROUGH DEVELOPING GENERALLY ALONG THE COLORADO/KANSAS
BORDER WILL FORCE WEAK HIGH PRESSURE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE LOWER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TODAY. THIS WOULD ENABLE WINDS TO BACK TO THE
SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST WITH SPEEDS INCREASING TO 10 TO 20 MPH THIS
AFTERNOON AND WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITIES IN THE MID AND UPPER 20S A
VERY HIGH GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER IS LIKELY IN MOST AREAS.

ON TUESDAY...WINDS WILL BECOME EASTERLY BUT ONLY AROUND 10 MPH. AS
SUCH THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER WILL BE MUCH LOWER ACROSS THE AREA.
