Fire Weather Planning Forecast For West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
217 PM CST Sat Feb 24 2018

.DISCUSSION...
Poor recovery overnight will set the stage for another dry day on
Sunday. Winds will be less so than today and weather conditions will
mostly stay below critical levels. Despite the likelihood of high
to very fire danger from the cured grass the composite fuel picture
will still be below the 50th percentile across most areas. As such we
anticipate another fire danger statement will be needed for Sunday.
Warmer and drier leading into Tuesday when fuels will be at their driest.
Best wind potential still looks to be Wednesday when watches and warnings
are most likely.
