FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
517 AM EDT SAT JUL 12 2014

...TURNING MUCH COLDER NEXT WEEK...

.DISCUSSION...AN UNSETTLED PATTERN WILL LEAD TO CHANCES FOR SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH TONIGHT. THE BEST PRECIPITATION CHANCES
WILL BE OVER SOUTH CENTRAL AND EASTERN UPPER MICHIGAN THROUGH TONIGHT.
CHANCES FOR RAIN WILL CONTINUE AND EVEN INCREASE MONDAY INTO TUESDAY
AS TEMPERATURES TURN MUCH COLDER UNDER AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM. TUESDAY WILL BE THE COLDEST DAY AND SHOULD BREAK THE RECORD
FOR COLDEST HIGH TEMPERATURE ON THAT SPECIFIC DAY...AND POSSIBLY
BREAK THE RECORD FOR COLDEST JULY HIGH TEMPERATURE SINCE RECORDS
BEGAN AT THE NWS MARQUETTE SITE IN NEGAUNEE IN 1961. TEMPERATURES
WILL START TO SLOWLY WARM BY MID WEEK NEXT WEEK.
