Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
603 AM CST Sat Feb 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Northerly winds should gradually diminish in speed today as a
surface high pressure moves into the region. A very dry low level
airmass will result in afternoon minimum relative humidity values
between 20 and 30 percent across much of the area. Winds will be
light and variable overnight before becoming southeasterly by
sunrise Sunday. Moisture levels will be increasing on Sunday, but
some locations in Southern Arkansas and North Central Louisiana
could still see minimum relative humidity values near or below 30
percent. Chances for showers and thunderstorms are expected
beginning Sunday afternoon and continuing through much of Monday
as an upper trough moves across the region. Total rainfall amounts
through Monday evening should generally be less than one inch.
